Dr. Amy Patel, our board-certified Pediatric Dentist, is a New Jersey native, born and raised. She attended Villanova University for her undergraduate studies as part of a seven-year accelerated dental program. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.
After graduating with Honors, she pursued a two-year pediatric dental residency at Montefiore Medical Center. There she served as the chief resident and also received advance training in treating a diverse patient pool including healthy, medically compromised and special needs children and adults. She also has extensive experience in use of nitrous oxide and advance behavior management.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an ardent advocate for underprivileged children and has spearheaded volunteer initiatives both domestically and internationally. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys going to her local Cross-fit gym, making DIY crafts, and playing with her niece and nephew!

Dr. Daniel de la Torre is a life long New York resident. After attending Xavier High School in Manhattan, he attended Boston College where he graduated with honors.
Returning to New York, Dr. de la Torre completed both his dental training and his post-doctoral pediatric training at Columbia School of Dental Medicine. His pediatric dental training at Columbia included the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric dental disease and dental problems specific to children and adolescents. This training included specialized education in hospital dentistry and the effective treatment of medically and physically compromised children.
In addition, Dr. de la Torre has completed two years of training in "Clinical Orthodontics for Pediatric Dentists" at the State University of New York, Stony Brook Post Graduate Orthodontic Program and has years of experience providing children orthodontic care.
Peter H. Chen DDS, MBA, DMSc is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with an outstanding academic resume and excellent clinical experience. He is a graduate of Harvard University, where he completed a rigorous four-year residency program in orthodontics. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Chen also conducted numerous research projects, and concurrently received his Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree from Harvard. In recognition of his work, Dr. Chen was awarded the prestigious Harvard Presidential Scholar Award.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Chen is a Clinical Instructor of Orthodontics at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he teaches hospital residents and treats orthodontic and cleft lip/palate patients in the faculty practice. His vision is to provide a perfect smile and a healthy bite that is custom made for each patient, and his guiding principle is to treat each and every one of his patients like he would treat his own family.
Dr. Robert Sonn is a New York native and graduated from Cornell University. He went on to complete his education at Stony Brook Dental School. From there, he completed a two-year program to become specialized in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center. These years spent helping children were crucial for him to learn to meet the needs of every child.
Dr. Sonn lives in the Upper East Side, Manhattan with his wife Anna and four children. He enjoys the outdoors especially hiking and golfing. He often visits central park, the Met and the Museum of Natural History.
